She has completed her education including both her medical and fellow specialist training in Queensland.

Since graduating from University of Qld, she has gained significant training experiences over the years through working in both hospital and community setting across Queensland including dedicated years working with the ATSICHS.

She enjoy all aspects of General Practice including chronic disease and preventive medicine, general medicine, women and children health, Indigenous/First Nations (ATSI) health and skin checks.

Dr. Amith Mammoottil is a dedicated and passionate General Practitioner with extensive expertise in Chronic Disease Management, Men’s Health, Children's Health, Mental Health, Workcover Management, Preventative Health Checks, Lifestyle Advice, Skin Checks and Skin Cancer Management & Surveillance.

His medical career in Australia has included training at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, Canberra Hospital, Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals, and Joondalup Hospital in Perth. Most recently, Dr. Amith has been an integral part of the Toowoomba community for nearly five years, completing his fellowship GP training and working there.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Amith has a robust background in clinical trials, having contributed to various trials during his time in Perth and currently overseeing multiple trials in Brisbane. This experience has honed his skills in research and patient care, contributing significantly to advancements in medical treatments and protocols.

Dr. Amith has a special interest in Lifestyle Medicine and Metabolic health, emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet, exercise, and sleep. He is a member of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM). Additionally, he has a special interest in obesity management and has a SCOPE certificate from the World Obesity Federation. Committed to furthering his expertise and impact in public health, he is also pursuing a Master's in Public Health and Health Leadership Management.

With a comprehensive approach to healthcare, Dr. Amith is passionate and caring, dedicated to holistically enhancing and maintaining his patients' health and wellbeing. He takes the time to listen and spend quality time with all his patients, continually striving to improve patient outcomes.

Dr Chris Brookes grew up in the United Kingdom and completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Leeds in 1996. He completed his general practice training and relocated to Australia in 2011 with his family. He obtained his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) the same year.

Dr Brookes understands the duty of care toward his patients and always seeks to maintain respectful relationships as a doctor in North Lakes. He emphasises that everyone should be provided with proper healthcare. He is passionately interested in Mental Health and Aged Care. His broad medical skills are complemented by his excellent communication and listening skills which are appreciated by his patients.

Other than working at the practice, Dr Chris Brookes loves spending quality time with his family. He is a competitive sportsman and enjoys playing different sports as well. Feel free to ask him about his favourite sport at your next appointment!

Dr Yinn Aung joined UMC North Lakes in 2016 after moving up from New South Wales. She completed her primary medical education and training in Burma and holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She also received her Australian Medical Council (AMC) certificate.

Dr Aung is a profoundly expert GP in North Lakes who provides an individualised treatment plan, attention to detail and meticulous approach when delivering the treatment. She is especially interested in Dermatology, Paediatrics and Women’s Health. She acquired a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma in Dermatology. She obtained a fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) as well.

Dr Yinn Aung is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Burmese.

Dr Andrew Pluta is a graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School at Herston in Brisbane, graduating in Medicine (MBBS). He has practised as a Registered General Medical Practitioner, working in Brisbane Practices since 1988.

He works with all aspects of general practice, especially including children's health, skin cancer, skin cancer surgery, men's health and women's health.

Dr Pluta has qualifications allowing him to treat patients with drug problems, hepatitis C and HIV. He is able to look after patients and to prescribe scripts for patients with these complex problems. He also has a subspecialty interest in ear problems in children and in ear problems in people who fly.

Dr Pluta has been involved with a substantial number of organisations in the health sector over the years. He has worked with The Divisions of General Practice, has served on the RACGP Queensland Faculty Board, QEMSAC: the Queensland Emergency Services Advisory Committee and has been involved in Standards and Accreditation in General Practice.

I believe in listening to people and in understanding them. I've always tried to do the best for people and to be an advocate for them in the health system. However, people have the right to make their own choices about their own health. There are many reasons why people make choices and I see my role as helping people to see what can be done. I have always been fairly pragmatic and realistic about what can be done and believe in only promising people what you can deliver. Getting good health care can be daunting for people to find, but I believe in trying to make the experience a pleasant one.

Regan is an experienced and university qualified podiatrist, graduating from QUT in 2011 with honours.

She has always had a nurturing nature and a strong passion to help people.

Regan thoroughly enjoys all aspects of podiatry, in particular ingrown toenail treatment/surgery, general nail and skin care, diabetic assessments and treating kid's feet.

Outside of work Regan is kept busy with her 3 children and enjoys outdoor fitness, gardening and beach trips with her family.
